Any child has the right to a home where he can cultivate family ties and grow with dignity. Children must live in a healthy and clean environment, and parents must guarantee this.

All boys and girls have the right to life, the right to be born, and governments must do everything possible to ensure their survival and development. The child must enjoy opportunities and services so that he can develop socially.

The child has the right from birth to a name and a nationality. This right will be recognized without any exception or distinction or discrimination for whatever reason: race, color, sex, language or religion of the child himself or his family.

The child, for the full development of his personality, needs love and understanding. Whenever possible, they should grow up under the protection and responsibility of their parents and, in any case, in an atmosphere of affection and moral and material security.

The child must be brought up in a spirit of understanding, tolerance, friendship among peoples, peace and universal brotherhood, and fully aware that he must devote his energies and abilities to the service of his fellow men.

Boys and girls have the right to live in an adequate house and to receive food and care. The physically or mentally handicapped child or who suffers from a social impairment should receive the necessary treatment and care in their particular case.

The child must enjoy the benefits of social security. You have the right to grow and develop in good health; to this end, special care, including prenatal and postnatal care, must be provided to both him and his mother.

The child has the right to receive education that will be free and compulsory at least in the elementary stages. You will be given an education that favors your general culture and allows you, equally, to develop your skills and individual judgment.

The child must fully enjoy games and recreation, which must be oriented towards the goals pursued by education. Society and public authorities will endeavor to promote the enjoyment of this right.

All children have the right to express their opinion and that this opinion, in accordance with their age and maturity, is taken into account when adults are going to make a decision in which they are involved.

Children have the right to receive information through books and the media, especially everything that is important for their development. Adults will be responsible for ensuring that this information is adequate.

As boys and girls that they are, children have the right to play for fun and have fun with their friends instead of experiencing unpleasant situations that may cause them some trauma in other future stages of their life and development.

Boys and girls must be protected against all forms of neglect, cruelty and exploitation. They will not be trafficked in any way and no boy or girl should be allowed to work before an appropriate minimum age.
